We’ve Had Visitors…

Hello! Welcome to my blog! I can see from the stats that we have had a few visitors over the holidays. That’s exciting!

Keep coming back! We appreciate your interest. Stop by anytime! I am constantly working on this website and blog. Please feel free to join the community and set up a profile. I want to build the community into someplace where people are free to share and be a source of support for each other. It’s meant to be a friendly and encouraging place for those with some form of mental illness. Please join!

We also have forums available if you are interested in posting questions or comments. That is, if people still do that. Lol.

I have only told a few people about this web address, so I wonder who was trolling over the last few days? I was hoping someone would leave a comment or join the community and message me.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back again soon!

Sincerely, R. Kline

Saying Goodbye to 2025

As we reach the end of the year, it is time to look back and reflect on everything that happened this year. It’s time to think about what went wrong and pray it doesn’t happen again. It’s time to think about what went right and try to have more of that in the coming year. It’s time to remember and carry those memories with us into the new year.

I think this was a good year. I managed to spend 90% of it in good mental health. I accomplished a few goals I had set for myself, an apartment and a job. I didn’t manage to get my license back yet or get a car, but I have high hopes for that in the beginning of the coming year. That would help me to meet some of my other goals, like getting back into nature and landscape photography, restarting my business again, or spending time traveling.

I pray it’s going to be a good year for us all! I really have a good feeling about what’s to come in the new year. I don’t want to get specific, but I believe we will all prosper.

Building this website may seem like a big thing, but it’s a relatively small drop in the bucket when it comes to everything I have to do to get my business up and running again. It’s a step in the right direction, and I am going to keep moving in that direction.

Do you have a New Year’s resolution this year? Like a lot of people, I would like to lose some weight. I hope to do that by being more active. It shouldn’t be too hard in the beginning of the year because I have a job that lets me do a lot of walking. I was even thinking about joining a gym, once I get a car again. Having a car will make a lot of things possible.

So, what’s your resolution? Anyone care to share?? Maybe you haven’t given any thought to that yet, and you are waiting until New Year’s Eve. In the coming year, I am hoping to make this blog livelier and more interactive. I haven’t been ready to drive any traffic this way just yet.

Take a moment to stop by the community and join. It’s a social network, just like many others you’ve heard of, except this one is meant to be a social support group. If I can find enough people to join, I would like to see it become that.

There are also forums on this website. We have the ability to post questions or comments on a board, where others can offer responses and replies. I imagine it will take a while to get that to be something that is active, if people even do that anymore.

For anyone utilizing my services, I have a client portal available, too. It allows me to invoice a customer and receive payment for services rendered. I am looking forward to this, since it might make business easier for everyone involved. Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows?

That’s all I got for now. It’s not even 5 AM yet, and here I am, hard at it. I have a lot to do, and I am writing a book on top of all that. I even have plans in my mind for another revision of Reflections. I truly hope that book someday goes to print.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the rest of this year, and I wish you the best in the coming year! Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline

Woke Up Happy

Merry Christmas to you all! I awoke at 3 AM this morning, and I decided to take the website for a test drive. I have been testing and troubleshooting. I am pleased with the results to this point.

I tried to install one type of community application over the last few days, but I finally gave up with that one and went with BuddyPress. It’s a plugin to the WordPress blogging application I am using, instead of it’s own free-standing application. It seems to be working fine.

I also installed forums in the blogging app. If you don’t remember what a forum is, allow me to explain. It’s a public message board, where message threads get started and are meant to be continued as others join in. It can be fun. Hopefully, it stays as it is intended.

Feel free to join the community. It’s a social network similar to Twitter or Facebook, but it’s intended to be a safe space for people who are dealing with mental illness on some level.

Everything included on this website is free, but please respect my copyrights. All of the photography is original and is copyrighted, as is all writing. In fact, this entire website is my product and is copyrighted as such.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great holiday! Merry Christmas!

Sincerely, R. Kline

PS: The image at the top of this post is one of the “butterfly pictures” I took during 2015. I went to Strong’s Improvement Road in Treaster Valley, Mifflin County, PA during the summer of 2015 when I got a new camera. I went there every day for three days straight because there were swarms of butterflies on the flat at the top of the mountain. For three days, I took hundreds of pictures and had the time of my life playing with the butterflies. I got some amazing shots, and I love to share them. This experience was a bright moment in a very dark time, and I will never forget those three days, no matter how old I live to be.

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas! I hope you get to spend this holiday with your loved ones. I am staying home this year. I plan on taking the time to rest and recuperate. I will probably cook a nice meal at some point, and I think my friends are dropping off some leftovers the day after Christmas.

This is a good time for writing. It will help get my mind off things. it’s good to stay productive, especially during a time that is so hard for so many.

Let’s try to count our blessings during this holiday season! I am thankful for family and friends. I am also thankful for the roof over my head and for the job that pays the bills and puts food on the table. I am thankful for every blessing God has bestowed upon me, and I am praying for better health in the new year.

I hope you have a good time this holiday season! Maybe Santa will put something nice under your tree? Take care!

Merry Christmas!

Sincerely, R. Kline

It’s Monday

Time to start another week. Where did the last one go??

Christmas is this week and New Year’s is next week. It’s hard to believe another year has just about passed us by. The older I get, the more quickly time goes by.

My goal for UNHINGED is one year. By this time next year, I had better be done. Getting it published is a whole other story. Lol. I refuse to worry about that right now. I have plenty of other things to worry about.

I am hoping to make good progress this week with my writing. I plan on staying home for Christmas and spending the holiday by myself, resting. My regular job has had plenty of overtime these past few months, and I am worn out. I am looking forward to enjoying some rest and relaxation.

I also think I will use the time wisely and be productive by writing. As for today, I will be writing until I head to an appointment this afternoon. I had a fairly peaceful weekend. Some friends dropped off some cookies yesterday. It was nice.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday! Take care…

The Experience

I wanted to tell you that I truly enjoyed building www.kcs.guru. I was done with the first edition in just a few days. I still have a few tweaks to make to it, but I expect that to be done in just a few days.

I love this experience! Designing websites is exciting to me, and I want to do more of it. If you know of anyone who wants affordable web design services, tell them to get ahold of me. I will do the best I can by them.

I also love computers and technology! What a wonderful thing! It has allowed me to do so much with it that I couldn’t do before, and I am so thankful to have it. I look forward to using computers and technology even more in the coming years to continue to create.

I am blessed to have learned as much as I have through the course of my life. I want to encourage others to keep learning and never stop.

I would like to take my experiences and use them to encourage others to keep growing and trying. Never give up! Someday, you’ll get where you are going, and you’ll be glad you made that first step in the right direction.

Have an awesome Saturday night! I will be working on some things, like I always am. Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline

Self-Doubt

Everything is coming along quite nicely, and I should feel excited and proud. Yet, I have doubts. And, I worry…

This is probably completely normal. Surely, this is a natural part of the writing process. I am trying not to become so overcome with doubts that I come to believe I can’t. I know I can.

The important thing is that I don’t get so overcome with doubts that I give up. That’s not an option. I have been thinking about this book ever since the incident happened and actually long before that. The idea of writing a book became something that I needed to do, something that must be done.

This is the point that I am at now. Determined. Yet I am also aware. I am aware of everything I need to do to bring this to fruition from this point forward. It’s a lot. It can seem a bit overwhelming at times, and I try not to let it get to me because I am making good progress with this all, the websites and the books.

The thought for the day is “Hang in there. Don’t give up five minutes before the miracle.”

Thanks again for stopping by! Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline

PS. The picture at the top of this post is of the Susquehanna River. I was standing in York County and taking a picture of the Lancaster County side. Both counties are show in this picture and so is the Safe Harber Hydroelectric Dam. The hill on the left, where the windmills are, is Turkey Hill. That’s where your iced tea and iced cream come from. Lol. Everything was so pink on this January morning when I took the picture. It was so cold, and the ice in the river even looked pink. Enjoy!

Friday Night at Home

I am spending a relaxing night at home getting some things done for the book. I spent a lot of time writing today, and I covered a lot of territory. There’s still a long road ahead of me. Yet, I can’t help but feel good about the direction I am going with this. I hope it ends up being everything I want it to.

The tricky part will be getting this published, but I have decided that I will do that, even if I have to pay for it myself in the beginning. I plan on seeing this book to fruition, and I would also like to see my other two books in print sometime after that.

I guess it doesn’t hurt to dream. After all, goals and dreams can really motivate us in life to take that next right step.

With that being said, I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. Have a great weekend, too. Thanks for stopping by!

Sincerely, R. Kline

TGIF!!

Thank God it’s Friday! For the first time in my life, I have a job where I am off on the weekends. It feels good!

How are you? Are you ready to end this week? I hope you have a great day!

I woke up feeling extra creative today. Hopefully this will get me somewhere with the writing. I have gotten some done, and I am happy with that. But there’s also that drive for more, more, more. I won’t really be happy until it’s done, printed, and in my hand.

I said I would share about the actual writing process here in this blog, so here it goes…

I started by making a skeleton. Basically, that’s an outline that includes all the subjects I want to include and the order they fall in. It’s basic, but it’s a good starting point. It’s important to know what exactly I plan to write about.

After that, I made some files for sections of time that occurred. I have been writing parts of the story, as it occurs to me, in the appropriate files. Later, I plan to put these together into one long file. I will then go through and separate the book into chapters, create an index and table of contents, and design the cover.

The website is finished for now. It will need an update in a month or so. The blog is coming along nicely and is ready for traffic. I am almost done customizing it for the experience.

I am also weighing my options for either a community or forum for discussions about mental health topics and for socialization. I guess you could say that I have plans for this website.

That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline
