Good Morning America!

It’s 3 AM, and I am bright-eyed and bushy tailed. I must have been tired because I went to bed at 5 PM. Dang!

It’s always so quiet at this hour. I enjoy writing when I wake up early like this. I was working on the Spring of 2023, but most of the time, I jump around a lot. That’s how my mind works with the racing thoughts I sometimes experience.

Yesterday, I finished the first drafts on the first two parts of the book. I won’t be happy until the first draft of the entire book is sitting in front of me. I realize it’s only a draft, and there is still a long way to go until I reached a final draft that’s ready to publish. That will be a very happy day indeed!

I hope you have a good day today! Try to stay warm. It’s so cold outside. We are expecting some warmer weather this week and some rain. It will be a nice change from snow, which we get a lot of here.

What are you doing today? Are you heading to work? Running errands? Whatever you are doing, do it with a smile on your face. You’d be surprised at the impact that smile can have on others you encounter along your way.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back again sometime. Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline

My Mind Jumps Around A Lot

Writing this morning is difficult. I have been jumping from part to part. I can’t seem to focus on one part of the story.

I have been keeping a daily journal about my mental health and details about writing that I haven’t shared here. Maybe that will eventually be another book down the road. Who knows?

I am trying hard to stay focused, but I keep remembering things from different places on the timeline I am working with. I keep remembering more and more.

This is a story that is sure to keep my readers wondering what’s going to happen next. It was also leave them wondering what the heck was all of that? In the end, it’s up to my audience to decide whether to believe any of this or not. What was reality and what wasn’t?

That’s something I am still wondering to this very day. Forgive me for being vague, but I don’t want to give away too much of the story before it’s even written.

I am very excited for the end result. I can’t wait to sit down and read the finished product from beginning to end. It will be a while because I am such a perfectionist that I see myself working on this for some time to come. I want to make sure I don’t miss any of the details. Details are what make a story.

Won’t you please keep coming back to see what’s going on with my book? I am excited to share the whole process with you. I have never written a memoir before, and I am excited to share my story. I am anxious to see how this all plays out. Maybe I will fall flat on my face. Maybe I will be a huge success. Maybe only my friends and family will read it.

Who knows?

Anyway…

Stop back here anytime you like! It’s free! Take advantage of everything this website has to offer. Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Writing Can Be Difficult

I spent most of today writing, just like I have been doing a lot of lately. I am making a lot of progress, but it isn’t without its drawbacks.

The last five years have been very difficult for me, and writing about them is really hard. It makes the whole five years swirl around in my brain all at once. Certain memories start to jump out at me. Sometimes this is something I forgot and need to remember. Sometimes this is something I wish I could just write about it and then forget it forever.

As I said, I have gotten a lot done, but I don’t want to push it. I want to be like the tortoise, not the hare. I don’t want to wear myself. Slow and steady wins the race.

So many things have come back to me that it makes my head swirl endlessly. It takes time to process this all, so I write for a while and take a break for a while. I write when the mood strikes me, and I take a break when I don’t feel like pushing myself. Like I said, slow and steady…

I hit a bit of a rough patch lately, but I am not going to go into that here and now. I am going to wait and make it part of the book. It will tie in nice with the ending, which is about the here and now.

Stop by my blog anytime and see what’s up with my effort at writing this book. I will be writing about my experiences writing a book here on this blog. Feel free to send me a note or drop me a comment below. Don’t be surprised when I take the time to respond. This is meant to be interactive.

So, where are my followers? Speak up. Join in! You are welcome here!

I’ve Missed My Calling

Maybe I should have tried my hand at writing prior to this. I was always good at writing whatever I had to write in school or college. Actually, I have had six college level English classes, which covered a variety of writing styles.

I deeply enjoy writing, so maybe I missed my calling up to this point. That might change now that I have found out how much I enjoy it.

I have never written a novel before. Both of my previous works were in poetry. Nothing I have written has been published, but then again, I never really tried to see that through. Now I plan to do that.

I’ve been working in a warehouse, filling orders. They sell books to libraries. I keep seeing all these books, and it makes me wonder “why not me?”. There are books about everything, but I haven’t seen anything like what I am writing. I do see some memoirs and some biographies, but nothing exactly like this. That leaves me feeling more determined than ever to see this through and get something published for once.

I have heard about companies that will publish just about any book if the person writing it wants to pay a few thousand dollars to make it happen. I have even reached a point where I will consider this. This is that important to me to see through.

So far, I am making good progress. I want to have a finished first draft by January 31, 2026. That’s my current little goal. A little goal is a goal that contributes to reaching a bigger goal or the ultimate goal. My ultimate goal is to have a finished book that I am trying to get published by December 31, 2026.

At the same time I am making this happen, I will also be working on two other projects. One is to finish and revise 90 Poems in 90 Days. The other is to make a 3rd and final revision to Reflections. I hope to publish both of these books at some point in time, but I am not ready to set a date for that yet.

The further along I get writing UNHINGED, the more excited I become about what the end product will be like. I am excited! I can’t wait to sit down and read it when it is finally finished, from beginning to end. It’s going to be quite a story. That was a wild five years.

I won’t get into any of that yet though. It’s just too soon. I was told by a good friend of mine that they can’t wait to read this book. I showed her the skeleton I use, and she said she is so excited. I plan of having her read the book and be one of the reviews on my website. I have also asked her to help me do some troubleshooting on the website and blog. She joined the community, and we will be working together to get that started. It is ready for people to join. It’s free.

Eventually, I will run the Bipolar Support Group in the community for anyone who wants to join in. It will be a weekly online meeting, and anyone can participate. It’s to be a safe place to share and be supported by others with similar problems. It’s free to belong and participate.

Throughout the writing process, I will be available to reply to comments on the blog and answer emails I receive from the form on the blog. I want this to be an interactive process, and anyone is invited to participate. We value your feedback!

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate your interest, and it is my pleasure to update on my progress on the book. Come back anytime! You are always welcome here!

Keep It Simple, Stupid

Have you ever heard that saying? I have, and I like it. It pretty much sums up life these days. Keep it simple. Don’t be stupid. That’s how I try to live my life.

I didn’t ask to be mentally ill, but it is my burden to bear. I would love to be more like the average person, but unfortunately, I am different. Learning to live with bipolar disorder has been difficult when I long to have a nice, simple, normal life.

Every day, I count my blessings. I am thankful for any periods of normalcy I have. I am thankful for the roof over my head and the food in my belly. I am blessed with family and friends, and I am so fortunate to have a decent job. I am lucky to have drive and motivation, and I pray to have the strength to see me through to meeting my goals along the way.

I wish the same for you! Just remember… keep it simple, stupid!

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your interest in my blog and website. Feel free to look around. Join the community, it’s free. Stop by and post to my forums, if people even still do that. I also welcome your comments or questions on my blog. Have a great day! Take care!

Rocketing Off into A New Year

I would like to wish you all the best in the coming year! May you be blessed every step of the way! I hope you have dreams come true and get to meet your goals. May it be a prosperous and happy year, filled with joy and love. May all the bad days be behind you, as you start fresh and begin again.

It’s a new year and a new day! Enjoy!

Sincerely, R. Kline

BTW…the mushrooms in the picture at the top look like Ravenel’s stinkhorn to me. That picture was taken in Wrightsville, PA along the Susquehanna River. I didn’t know what a stinkhorn was then, but I eventually learned when some friends got me interested in mushroom hunting. Now I love it!

As I Say Goodbye to This Year…

Here we are again! Another holiday. I am sure a lot of people are celebrating tonight, but I am staying at home alone. This is a time of reflection for me, and I usually make peace with things that happened during the year.

I don’t plan on staying up or doing anything special. I just want to write while I have the chance. While the wind is still beneath my wings. Get while the getting is good, or whatever they say.

I should celebrate that I made it out of the halfway house. I got a decent job, and I am saving for a car. Things are good at this point. No major episodes this year, only a slight hiccup or two.

In case you aren’t familiar with what I mean by episodes, I suffer from Bipolar I and PTSD. I have episodes when I become incapacitated and out of touch with reality. I am writing a book about it at this time, called UNHINGED. It’s a memoir of my experiences living with mental illness over a five-year period. I won’t go into specific detail at this time, but I will be talking more and more about what’s in the book as time goes by. I just don’t want to give too much away at this point in time, so I am being vague.

I’ve been busy writing the days away, in the last few weeks. I am accomplishing a lot, and I am very proud of the progress I am making on this new book. I have two other books I have written that need revamped, and then I would like to try and get them published. I eventually plan to sell them on this website.

I have a lot of plans for this website and for Kline Consulting Solutions. Keep your eyes open for some new and exciting things happening in the new year. I hope to see the support group grow and to start accepting freelance work again. Lots of plans. Very exciting!

As we head out of this year and into the next, could we all remember to be kind? We never know what someone is going through, especially if they don’t tell us. We can all use a little sympathy and some compassion in our lives as we move through each day and into the next. A little kindness and caring can go a long way to someone who is really going through something at the moment. You might just be the things that saves their life. You never know…

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night and a better tomorrow! Take care!

Three Shades of Glory

This was my favorite effort at blogging, and it began in 2007. That was the original Three Shades of Glory blog on Mistress Morning Glory’s website. I was Mistress Morning Glory, and I wrote that blog over the period of a year. At its high point, that blog had an audience of 40,000 readers a month. It was a BDSM-themed blog, and it was a lot of fun.

My next effort was a blog called Tempted by Desires. I wrote that blog in 2011-2012, and I posted it to the WordPress site. It was fun, but it wasn’t as much fun as Three Shades of Glory.

I never abandoned the idea of the Three Shades of Glory blog I had done in 2007 and 2008. I have been working on that blog off and on ever since its creation. I purchased another hosting plan in June of 2022, and I began working on a new version of that blog on my new website. This website was far different than my original one in 2007. It far exceeded anything I could have hoped for.

It had been a long time since I did any web design, and so many things have changed. I was able to add a store, chat rooms, blog, and a community. I thought the end product was astounding, and I was so proud. However, it never became anything. My efforts were cut short when my computer died, and I couldn’t afford to replace it. Everything just went south. Eventually, my hosting plan expired, and I no longer had access to my files. I am in the process of seeing if I can launch that website again and access my writings and other files. It would be very beneficial to writing this new book, UNHINGED.

I still won’t give up on the Three Shades of Glory. This is why I am bringing it up here and now. I have plans to expand this blog here and add that section of it. I have a lot of information and writings on my last attempt at a website, and if I can regain access to the files, I will have them installed in this blog.

Over time, you will see these categories expanding when that happens. Three Shades of Glory. A virtual representation of My Virtual World. There are three shades of Glory: the Light Side, the Dark Side, and the Gray Area.

Long before there were Fifty Shades of Gray, there were Three Shades of Glory.

Watch as I bring that blog back from the dead. It’s coming soon!

Sincerely, Goddess Gloria herself

The Last Day of the Year

It’s time to say goodbye to 2025. It’s time for remembering the ups and downs, the good and the bad. Try to make peace with this year before you move on to next year.

This isn’t just the end of this year; it’s the beginning of next year.

Do you have a resolution? I do. It’s to finish the book I am writing. I am very excited to git ‘er done.

Stick around this blog and watch it happen. I have a good start, and I might be sharing some excerpts soon. I also want to share some of my poetry with you. I want you to be able to sample what is available in my books before you buy them.

In the coming year, please feel free to reach out to me. I don’t mind, as long as it’s not weird. I will also be reachable in the community, where I plan to have a daily influence. I also started my own bipolar support group there. It’s free to join the community and make use of what’s available to you there.

Come back to my website and blog anytime you want! You’re always welcome here! Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline

It’s a Good Day for Delivery!

It’s cold and windy, and I decided this is a good day for ordering something online. Forget about cooking tonight. I am treating myself.

I was busy working on UNHINGED today, while I am off work. I forgot about time and didn’t bother to have lunch. I realize this late this afternoon, and it’s almost time for supper. I am so glad there’s a pizza place a block away. The food got here fast.

And damn, that pizza was good! Some of the best I have had.

It was a very productive day. I spent time working on the “skeleton” of the book. That is like an outline that puts everything in the order I want the book to follow. It lays out the direction I want to take and defines specific parts or sections, which can later be turned into individual chapters.

This is probably boring as can be to you, and I am truly sorry. I am saving all the good stuff for the book. This blog (at this point, anyway) is mostly about the writing of the book. That might not be very exciting to some.

I plan on spending the evening doing the same thing I did all day. Writing. Planning. Organizing. After today, I feel like I am really getting somewhere. There’s so much to discuss and cover. I have a long way to go, but I am satisfied with my progress to this point. After I get further along, I will begin sharing some of my writing on this blog.

All of the photography you see on this website is all my own copyrighted works. For more than a decade, I have been compiling a collection of photographic works of my own. These are nature photography, landscape photography, portrait photography, real estate photography, and more. Photography is a hobby that I very much enjoy, as well as potentially being a source of income.

How was your day? How have you been? Were you busy? Did you remember to make time for yourself today? Relaxation and recuperation are important. Don’t forget to recharge yourself!

Thanks for stopping by! I have to get back to working on this book now. Have an enjoyable evening! Take care!

Sincerely, R. Kline
